2024 Annual Report Released

Today we are releasing our 2024 Annual Report, recapping a successful year of increasing access to high-quality health care in Rwanda. This report describes the life-saving work done during the 2023-2024 fiscal year to:

• Support health care facility leadership and management

• Combat hypertension and diabetes in rural Rwanda

• Pioneer digital tools to improve the quality of care

• Save mothers and children with training and tech

The 2024 Annual Report features statistics from our regular performance assessments, a financial overview, and stories of successful clients and programs. It also celebrates our growing staff and the critical partnerships we have.

By working closely with leading global health care corporations and organizations, supporting foundations, and the Rwanda Ministry of Health, we make sure the outcomes from the work we do are sustainable.

This testimony from Samson Tuyisenge, Rwahi Health Center Manager, illustrates how management commitment can improve the quality of services in health facilities.

“In last year's assessment, I was ranked 17 out of 22 Health Centers. This was not really a place, as the management, we were proud of. Going back to the Health Center, I discussed this with the staff and the health committee of the Health Center. I visited the Health Centers that were ranked first in quality of care and in leadership and management. Being there, I was surprised with the cleanliness and the general organization I found there and the way they are operating. Going back, with the support of Health Builders, the hospital and the district, we made an improvement plan which I tried to monitor closely. I am extremely happy to have been ranked first in this year’s assessment.”
